How to Get Your Card
Requirements for a Medical Cannabis Card in Maryland
Patients must be 18 years of age or older. Minor patients are required to have at least one caregiver assigned to their accounts at all times. Only parents or legal guardians 21 years of age and older are eligible to serve as caregivers for a minor patient.
Caregivers must register with the Commission prior to registering the minor patient.
Have a valid US government issued photo ID and proof of Maryland address. Any non-Maryland resident currently in Maryland for the purpose of receiving medical treatment is eligible to register as a patient with the MMCC and, during registration, will be required to provide the name and address of the Maryland medical facility where the patient is receiving treatment.
Experience a qualifying medical condition:
Severe or chronic pain
Severe or persistent muscle spasms
Any other chronic medical condition which is severe and for which other treatments have been ineffective.
How to Get a Medical Marijuana Card in Maryland
1. Get Registered
Visit the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) at https://mmcc.maryland.gov and click on “PATIENTS” to register. Once approved, a Patient ID number will be emailed to you in approximately 5-10 days.
2. Get Certified by a Physician
Make an appointment with an MMCC registered physician to activate your Patient ID number and complete your certification. Be suer to bring your Patient ID number and documentation of your condition. Patients may find a list of Registered Providers on the MMCC website.
3. Visit a Dispensary
After your registration has been approved by MMCC and your provider has issued you a valid written certification, you may visit a licensed Maryland dispensary to purchase medical cannabis. Patients are allowed to purchase up to 120 grams of THC within any given 30-day period. Patient certifications must be renewed annually.
4. ID Cards (Optional)
ID cards are optional for patients. And ID card cannot be purchased until a valid written certification has been obtained from a provider registered with MMCC. Patient ID card fee: $50

A: Unfortunately, no. We are not allowed to accept out of state patients.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: We cannot accept credit cards at this time. We do have ATM’s available onsite at all of our locations.
